Alice Aida Ayers is an internationally exhibited artist and educator whose career bridges the Americas, Europe, and Africa. With over three decades of experience, she has held residencies and professorships in the United States, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa, while also developing acclaimed arts education and art therapy initiatives.

Currently working in textile art, Ayers crafts hand-stitched collage quilts from ethnic fabrics, repurposed textiles, found objects, embroidery, and appliqué. Influenced by African traditions, personal experiences, and the legacy of African-American quilting, their works tell layered stories through texture, rhythm, and pattern.
