Mama Mdogo, the beautiful youngest daughter of my neighbors, captivated men throughout Mangapwani. She charmed suitors, lured
married men from their wives, and kept a secret stash of their gifts. Angered, the village women conspired to buy a shetani and curse
her. One night, under a strange blue full moon, I heard terrifying screams beyond my wall. Villagers gathered silently as Mama Mdogo
sat cross-legged in a kanga, her eyes wild, hair undone, skin pale. Her mother and the village healer chanted and sprinkled rose water
over her, while the rest of us stood frozen, witnessing her possession in eerie silence.
