"Light Up the Night"

  • Taylor Youth Center 80 Texas Avenue Clarksville, TN, 37040 United States (map)

The Lorenzo Swinton Gallery is honored to partner with Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to host an evening of recognition, honoring and supporting those impacted by suicide.

The selected works provided for this exhibition brings together a collection of works by respected artists who explore the themes of suicide prevention and resilience through diverse creative lenses. Each piece; in the forms of sculpture, photography, painting, or mixed media—serves as a deeply personal and therapeutic expression of strength, survival, and support.

The participating artists use their work to affirm a vital message: you are not alone, and help is available. Through their individual perspectives and lived experiences, they shed light on the emotional landscapes of mental health, offering hope, awareness, and connection. Art is a conduit for healing and dialogue, reminding us of its transformative role in addressing some of our most pressing human experiences and challenges. Together, these works resonate as a collective call for compassion, understanding, and the courage to continue—illustrating how creativity can be both a refuge and a roadmap in navigating the complexities of our ever-changing world.
