Curated by Ghost
Inception is a tender reckoning with time: a moment suspended between endings and beginnings. It is the quiet exhale after years of creation, the heartbeat that signals both closure and awakening. Through this exhibition, Lorenzo Swinton stands at the threshold of renewal, honoring the journey that shaped him while stepping boldly into the unknown. Swinton’s art has always been an act of becoming a constant evolution of self, form, and vision. His works breathe with memory and transformation, carrying traces of the hands, the stories, and the communities that have walked beside him. Each brushstroke feels like a fragment of lived experience; raw, reflective, and resoundingly human.
Inception marks the end of one chapter in Swinton’s creative odyssey and the luminous beginning of another. It is not a farewell, but a rebirth rooted in gratitude, courage, and wonder. As curator, I intend to give Lorenzo Swinton and the Lorenzo Swinton Gallery flowers so gallantly deserved. Gratitude for his unwavering efforts in creative ecosystems located in both Clarksville and Nashville, TN. Within this space, we witness an artist unafraid to let go, to reimagine, to begin again. Here, creation becomes resurrection. The past folds gently into the future. And in the silence between both, Lorenzo Swinton rises; Radiant, Infinite, Alive.
